Beschreibung
The combat journey of the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps in the USSR is described in many ways by hundreds, if not thousands, of various books, ranging from memoirs to scholarly studies. This allows us to learn about the fates of infantrymen, paratroopers, tankers, artillerymen, and scouts. Fewer publications focus on those branches of the military whose activities in the field are not as visible, such as engineers, medics, and signalers. However, to the author's knowledge, no specialized work has yet been created about the automotive units of the Czechoslovak foreign army in the USSR, and therefore he has decided to prepare at least a modest probe into this issue. After all, without ammunition, provisions, fuel, medical supplies, and logistical materials delivered on time to the right place, Czechoslovak soldiers would have found it difficult to carry out any stage of their march "from Buzuluk to Prague." It should also be noted that within the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps, more than 2,000 drivers, mechanics, and other soldiers served, contributing to ensuring that all the corps' vehicles could deliver the necessary performance.
