Beschreibung
Franta Klišík was a storyteller who would have pleased Bohumil Hrabal. With his twin Ondra, they formed a yin-yang, a whole being. Franta wrote poetry and worked as a mason, while Ondra painted, sang, and played the harmonica. Unlike Ondra, Franta enjoyed the success of Aleš Palán's book and the filming of a feature documentary. You could say he was the extroverted part and Ondra the introverted one. They lived together in a cottage inherited from their parents in Stögrová Huť and hosted gatherings of poets and friends, musicians, and self-taught artists. It was a joy to be with them. Franta never wrote down his poems; they came to him from somewhere in the sky when he wandered through Šumava, traveled by train, or just sat on a hillside. He remembered them all. And when he had someone to share them with, he would recite and wave with his healthy hand and the one that was no longer there. He was a bohemian with the soul of a boy. One night I had a dream; Franta visited me in it, he had both hands, the other one even stronger and larger, he was glowing and laughing, hugging me and whispering in my ear: 'Visit me anytime you come by.'
