Beschreibung
The journey to Paris and an uncomfortable bus full of noisy children. While the girls are melting over the beauty of a plush toy, two bespectacled boys next to them are seriously debating whether poop burns. Universes separated by a narrow alley. At the core of Šabach's stories lies the world of childhood and adolescence in times when people greeted each other with 'Honor to work, comrade' and pioneers tested their courage with electric current. The relationships between fathers and sons, between men and women, and the stubborn old men who argue over a beer about how big a Kodiak bear is. A little girl carefully observes the world of men from the rooftop of a house and gradually abandons the idea of changing her gender, while the son of a military officer sabotages his father's weekly meal plan bulletin board. 'Does poop burn' is a collection of three stories arranged like shards of an unbreakable plastic cup, which Šabach's heroes raise and toast to health.
