Beschreibung
The epic collection of poems by Pavel Kukal presents a story from the Thirty Years' War, full of action, courage, but also love. Pavel Kukal, born in 1961 under the sign of Aquarius, began writing during his high school studies and has never looked back. He self-published the poem 'Rivers' and a collection of 12 poems 'The Winemaker's Calendar.' He officially published the collections 'Wild Caraway,' 'Voices from Elsewhere,' 'Dressing Silence,' and 'Before Dawn' (together with Jindra Lírová). He was a founding member of Group XXVI and collaborates with the literary association Pegas in Mělník. In his poetry, he does not experiment; he adheres to old, proven forms, which he fills with traditional content - nature, wine, interpersonal relationships. He is currently retired but expresses his lifelong love for books by working as an assistant in a Prague antiquarian bookstore. In addition to verses, he also writes short stories, mostly with historical themes, which he has published in magazines. He still has more verses in manuscripts, so it is not excluded that he will surprise his readers with something new.
