When a painting goes missing from a museum and a dead body is found nearby, the newly established detective agency, formed by Freya Lockwood and her aunt Carole, is called in to investigate.

The trail leads aboard a cruise ship embarking on a luxury journey for antique lovers, heading to the Red Sea in Jordan. Soon it becomes clear that the ship's gallery, showcasing antiques, is filled with stolen historical artifacts. And worse – each of them is listed in the notebooks of Freya's late teacher and companion Arthur, who once solved cases of stolen treasures. The search for the missing painting may lead Freya and Carole to something much darker than they could have imagined...

The investigation soon turns into a fight for survival. For it seems that a mysterious and dangerous dealer of historical treasures known as the Collector is also hiding aboard the cruise ship. Can Freya and Carole uncover his identity among a group of enthusiastic antique lovers – and a few unexpected familiar faces – and thwart his plans...
