They all describe her grandmother as a kind and gentle woman, a portrayal far removed from what Sandrine's mother told her. A strange atmosphere prevails on the island. It takes just a few hours for Sandrine to realize that the locals are hiding some secret. Something they fear. So why does no one leave? What happened to the children from the summer camp that was hastily closed in 1949? Instead of answers, the young woman is found days later wandering the beach on the mainland with clothes soaked in blood that isn't hers...
