Beschreibung
The book, divided into four volumes according to the seasons, is a guide for pilgrims and travelers. It serves as a manual on how to navigate the landscape so that we are not merely soulless tourists. People today embark on journeys, whether by bike, on foot, by plane, or by boat, and like ancient pilgrims, they piece together the grandeur of the landscape, the memory of monuments, the connections of time and distance into an unforgettable image. This book can serve as a frame for that. The first part of the book deals with the time imprinted in the landscape. The time of ancient traditions, festivals, rituals, and spiritual practices. We want to show what happened in the landscape during the summer and what has been forgotten, because only then can we understand the landscape. A more extensive part of the book deals with guides for summer travels and the possibilities of reflecting on them. The book also includes an interview with a traveling diplomat who has experienced the world far beyond ordinary horizons and enjoys sharing those stories.
