Former interior designer Nicky has managed to cope with everything so far, even though it hasn't always been easy. After her husband's death, she raised two daughters on her own, who are now adults leading their own lives, and Nicky can proudly say that it is her merit. However, she simply cannot shake the feeling that suddenly she doesn't know what to do with her own life. Then, out of the blue, her best friend calls her with a desperate plea for help. Jenny is a producer, and her new television show about the complete transformation of dysfunctional guesthouses in France is in jeopardy, and only Nicky can save it. But there's a catch. Nicky would have to fly to Provence – the very next day – and take care of transforming a shabby, unprofitable guesthouse. As it soon turns out, Jenny hasn't told her everything – not only does the guesthouse need a complete transformation, but its grumpy owner Robert does too. Moreover, she has to manage all of this on a very limited budget. Can Nicky change the fate of the dilapidated guesthouse and its owner, save her friend's show, and perhaps even find happiness? She has one month under the scorching summer French sun.
