The textbook contains a clear classification of organisms into fungi, plants, and animals. The largest space is devoted to the individual ecosystems found in our republic, making them familiar to children. The chapter on nature conservation discusses the impact of humans on environmental pollution and provides advice on what we can do for nature ourselves. In the chapter on extraordinary events in nature, you will find practical guidance on how to behave in the event of a fire, storm, hurricane, etc. This is a modern textbook that uses photographic overviews of chapters in teaching. It is interspersed with many questions and tasks, motivating group work as well. The textbook develops and supports reading literacy – each chapter contains an introductory motivational text with questions. Below the line, there are English words related to the material being covered. These words are recorded by a native speaker in the multimedia interactive textbook (MIUč+). At the end of each chapter on ecosystems, there is a text dedicated to the importance of the ecosystem for humans and the significance of proper human behavior towards nature. In the textbook, you will find four quarterly reviews, one semester review, and one final review. At the end of the textbook, there are tips for four outings in the four seasons.
