The new chemistry textbooks for the 8th and 9th grades and corresponding years of multi-year gymnasiums are based on the new concept of the RVP ZV educational content. Emphasis is placed on the interconnectedness of the material and its practical applicability. Therefore, the textbooks are more illustrative, containing practical tasks and observations. Each chapter, in addition to the material, includes illustrative diagrams and photographs. Furthermore, they include descriptions of experiments, interdisciplinary connections, cross-cutting themes, group tasks, terms in English and German, review tasks, interesting facts, and internet work. You can view a sample of the textbook at the end of the page. Workbooks are also prepared to accompany the textbooks. These textbooks are also developed in an interactive form, where we have prepared many videos featuring chemical experiments for you. The textbook first introduces students to the concept of chemistry, followed by chemical substances and mixtures, the composition of substances, chemical reactions, elements, and inorganic compounds. The textbook is supplemented with several laboratory works, observation and experiment proposals, project suggestions, key competencies, and expected outcomes. A periodic table of elements and a table with density, melting, and boiling points are included with the textbook.
