The new colorful workbook, together with the aforementioned botany textbook, forms a functional whole. In a clear and entertaining manner, it allows students to master and practice the material covered in the textbook. Its content corresponds to the textbook, focusing particularly on essential information whose knowledge should ensure students' successful completion of this subject. A positive contribution for students should be the inclusion of short introductory texts at the beginning of each chapter aimed at text comprehension, which students often struggle with. The workbook also provides students with a relatively free space, thanks to the review and self-assessment pages, to recognize for themselves which areas they are proficient in and which areas need improvement. It also includes suggestions for laboratory work. At the beginning of each chapter, there is a short text that serves both educational and motivational functions. Understanding the text and the subsequent task develops reading literacy, as do the various tasks in the workbooks that stem from the comprehension of the text presented in the textbook. Each section is concluded with a summary review and a self-assessment table. The tasks in the workbooks support the development of scientific literacy.
