In the first chapter, students will become familiar with various religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism). Topics on religious tolerance, new religious movements, extremism, and fanaticism are also included. The second chapter covers career choice, choosing a high school, and entering the workforce. The Financial Literacy chapter introduces students to money, forms of payment, and payment cards. Subchapters include Household Management, Market of Goods and Services, and especially Savings, Loans, and Interest, where students are provided with illustrative diagrams and practical examples. The National Economy chapter explains the concepts of market and centrally planned economies, GDP, unemployment, inflation, exports and imports, state budget, and taxes. Current articles at the beginning of each chapter lead to the development of text comprehension, reading, and obtaining information from graphs and tables. In the final chapter, students will primarily learn about international organizations of which the Czech Republic is a member.
