Listen and play - With Teddy Bears!, 1. díl (učebnice) (2021)

This first English workbook welcomes pupils with Sam, a new teddy-bear friend who loves singing. His songs help them learn basic phrases and grammar quickly and easily, while movement warm-ups with songs and rhymes reinforce correct pronunciation. Using teddy-bear puppets from Sam’s family, pupils can act out scenes and develop fluent conversation skills. Sam also prepares entertaining games and exercises for learning new vocabulary, and his memories regularly return to previously covered material on two review pages in each chapter. The two-part course is organized thematically, introducing basic vocabulary topics such as greetings, colors, family, numbers and pets, together with grammar suited to this age group. Teachers will find original songs and well-known nursery rhymes to enliven lessons, while pupils naturally develop their reading and art skills. Sam, his family and friends guide them through scenes and dialogues that build basic communication skills. Each workbook includes detailed instructions in Czech for teachers and parents, along with alternative activities and suggestions for making lessons more varied.
