In the remote corners of the American state of New Mexico, something happened in 1947 that still keeps not only scientists, politicians, and soldiers awake at night, but also eager seekers of unexplained mysteries. Archaeologist Nora Kelly, after a categorical rejection that even costs her a position at the Institute, agrees to take on the excavations at the site where an unknown object supposedly fell. But what was it? That is exactly what the well-equipped team of billionaire Lucas Tappan wants to find out, who ultimately persuades Nora to collaborate. However, the promising research is soon disrupted by strange events: the disappearance of a prominent scientist, the discovery of unexpected remains, but above all, the finding of an object that raises great hopes and fears.
