I am very much like my mom – except for the glasses – I am short, I have black eyes and crazy curly hair, but my mom is loud, unafraid of anything, and fun to be around. I am much quieter and a lot of things worry me. Jess and Tracy Beaker are the perfect team. Jess thinks Tracy is the best mom in the world (even when she yells at the teacher). Tracy is active, brave, and does everything she can to create the kind of home Jess desperately longed for when she grew up in a children's home. Their apartment is a bit moldy, but they are happy together in it. However, when Sean Godfrey, Tracy's new boyfriend who is very wealthy, appears on the scene, Jess gets scared that everything might change. What if Sean wants to turn her great mom into someone completely different?
