Arthur Curry is known as Aquaman: King of Atlantis, member of the Justice League, world statesman, superhero, and the link between the land-dwelling world and the realm beneath the waves. To many people, however, he is also the dictator of an unpredictable nation. Arthur and his beloved fiancée Mera are determined to prove that Atlantis can be a peaceful and just country. But while Aquaman tries to improve his public image, dark forces rise from the depths, determined to crush his dreams and hopes. A group of Atlantean terrorists has declared war on both its king and the surface world, while the killer known as Black Manta will stop at nothing to settle his bloody feud with the hated hero. Can Aquaman stem the tide of distrust and bloodshed, or will he have to sacrifice himself to save the world?
