MAKING DEALS WITH DRAGONS DOES NOT PAY OFF. AND TRYING TO ROB THEM EVEN LESS...
Thorn has always been a bit of an outcast. She doesn't look like the other villagers, doesn't behave like them, and a simple life is not for her. Quite the opposite. She wants to venture out into the world, to experience adventure, excitement, and danger. But one should be cautious with such wishes.
After one of her expeditions goes horribly wrong, Thorn finds herself captive to the mysterious Luc, who wants to uncover all her secrets while refusing to show his own face. Luc's fierce nature frightens Thorn, yet something irresistibly draws her to him, as if they are much more alike than it first appears.
However, ominous clouds gather over Luc's castle, and if they are to defeat this new threat together with Thorn, they will both have to confront the demons of their past and learn to trust each other…
A standalone story from the world of the Shattered Kingdoms inspired by Beauty and the Beast.
