ANOTHER CASE WILL TAKE ZÁVIŠ BRIEFTRAGER TO THE KRUSNOHORY ROLLING HILLS...
Historian Záviš Brieftrager, who lost his position at Charles University due to a series of false accusations, arrives in Přebuzi to participate in the restoration of an old wooden cottage under the supervision of carpenter Ilja Písecký. In the Sudeten town surrounded by wild nature, a gloomy atmosphere prevails – and that’s before someone murders Ilja's girlfriend Bianka.
Bianka's parents came to the border region from Romania, and she herself was involved in the anarchist organization Antifa. Does the local group of neo-Nazis have anything to do with her death? Or perhaps the mysterious wolf cult, whose members roam the area and paint their signs on the walls of churches? Or is it the echoes of history dating back to 1945, when the German population was violently displaced?
Záviš, who had a soft spot for Bianka, embarks on an investigation that leads him to the rolling tin mine and the notebook of Ota Braun, who helped prisoners in the Sauersack camp during the war. However, he soon realizes that in the pursuit of truth, he could easily become just one of the many shadows forever wandering the Krusnohory landscape...
