The third installment of the football detective series loosely follows the previous stories The Mystery of the Sleeping Referees (2018) and The Mystery of the Seven Own Goals (2019). After the holidays, everyone returns to school and the field. The footballers have a new classmate who is brilliant at math and supposedly can read minds. Moreover, he has signed up for the Soto Alto team! Along with him, six other great players have joined. The footballers face an important match that they must win to stay in the league. However, only nine players can be on the roster, and the tension in the locker room is palpable. Will the footballers manage to overcome all the challenges and keep the team together?
