Even goodbyes hurt less when you're not alone. Little Noah sits on a bench with his grandfather, and they talk. But capturing memories is becoming increasingly difficult, and both must learn the hardest lesson of all: the art of saying goodbye. Fredrik Backman, in this atypical novella, depicts the struggle of an aging man to preserve his dearest memories. He does so tenderly and empathetically, as only he can.
