Beschreibung
Petr sits bare-bottomed in chamomile tea and dreams of wild sex. Marek is planning suicide. Adam wants a wedding and maybe even a child. The average Czech man lives to be seventy-six years old, which means that if you are a man and you are forty, you are in the second half of your life. In the worse half. Anxiety arises about how much time you have left, who you have become, and who you will never be. The chances of change seem slim, and you begin to realize the finiteness of your life. And if you also feel that you neglected something in that first half, missed out, or didn't enjoy it enough, now comes the last opportunity to make it right. Three friends and former classmates are preparing for a weekend party in London to celebrate their fortieth birthdays. Booze, sex, food, football, and chatter about everything and nothing. All to fend off the shared unease that it is time to take stock of their lives. However, during the upcoming weekend, more than just their age will change.
