Beschreibung
A large number of gliders and sailplanes bearing the OK mark have already passed through our skies. Foreign ones are the subject of the books 'Foreign Sailplanes with the OK Mark' by the author duo Zdeněk Pátek and Petr Kolmann. The first two volumes of the book were published by the Svět křídel publishing house in 2015 and 2019. The first focused on describing the sailplanes that bore the OK mark and were manufactured abroad, with the exception of Germany. Germany is rightly considered a global gliding superpower, which is reflected in the activity and offerings of its manufacturers. It is also from German companies that the most foreign types operated under the OK mark originate. In an effort to maintain approximately the same number of pages in each volume, German designs of gliders, sailplanes, and motorized sailplanes bearing the OK mark since 1945 are alphabetically divided into two parts, with the introductory one published in 2019. The final volume also describes new types that were registered in the Czech aviation register after the previous books were published. It contains 250 black-and-white and color photographs.
