Beschreibung
The founding cadre of pilots of Czechoslovak State Airlines was not very large; the first mentions of future pilots can be found in March 1923, when the commanders of the air regiments were tasked with nominating six experienced and reliable sergeants. From the proposals of the regiment commanders, Major Holeka selected a total of 19 pilots who were considered for operating air transport. By the end of 1923, in regular operations of ČSA, we find six pilots, namely Sergeants Josef Sedlář, Tomáš Galinovský, Karel Brabec, František Výborný, Bohuslav Hrazdil, and Karel Dovodil.
