The Sunday texts were created over ten years for the Catholic Weekly. And what does the author say about their creation? "I always feel like a beginner. But I take it as a task that I did not invent. Once again, to immerse myself in the testimony of the prophets and apostles. To be once again taken aback by the question of how this old wise Book can speak to us today and tomorrow, in Central Europe, on the threshold of the third millennium. It pleases me, even though it slightly takes my breath away. I enjoy watching the sparks and flashes when ancient verses from Hebrew and Greek manuscripts speak calmly into the noise and hustle of the modern world. And sometimes, actually quite often, as if by miracle, a thin ray of light suddenly shines from somewhere above. A stream of heavenly radiance that disperses shadows and shows the way in the darkness. And it gives courage. And brings hope. Into the great and small life struggles that we all face.
