The Catholic catechism for children and parents addresses the content of the Catholic faith as presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, using language understandable to children. It is not an exhaustive explanation. The text consists of questions and answers that cater to children's understanding while presenting the shared faith in the wording authorized by the Church. At the bottom of each page, parents and educators will find additional information. YOUCAT for children serves as a significant impulse for conversations about faith between adults and children. The introduction of the book provides guidance on how to use it. It includes sections: Creed – twelve facts about God, Sacraments – seven encounters with God, Commandments – ten divine rules, Prayer – God always has time, and a special section for parents titled Jesus' Life: what we should know about Jesus. The book, with a foreword by Pope Francis, is accompanied by works of Christian visual art as well as simple, yet illustrative and playful illustrations. The Pope himself recommends the book: 'Relentlessly ask and talk together about your faith! Do not remain silent when your children start pressing you with their questions, but be strong and pass on the faith, just as you received it from your parents.
