This carefully revised third Czech edition of the Catechism of the Catholic Church is based on the official editio typica approved by Pope Saint John Paul II and, for the first time, includes the new wording of Article 2267 on the death penalty, approved by Pope Francis. The Czech-language volume also contains A Short Introduction to the Catechism of the Catholic Church by Joseph Ratzinger and Christoph Schönborn. It provides a comprehensive explanation of Catholic teaching, showing what the Church professes and celebrates, how it lives and how it prays.
