This Czech-language cookbook is the second volume in which Sister Vojtěcha Fialová shares the best of her culinary skills. It includes recipes for gnocchi, aubergine dishes and selected meals featuring fish, veal and chicken, as well as popular recipes using pulses, roasted vegetables and polenta, the food of ordinary people. Sister Vojtěcha has a particularly strong connection with homemade recipes for yeast dough and choux pastry sweets. For her, baking small cakes, Christmas braided bread and Easter loaves is also a joyful social occasion, bringing together Czech compatriots living in Rome. The taste of her Christmas bread is known by successive popes as well as by homeless people, whom Sister Vojtěcha does not forget even amid the joy of the festive season.
