In the New Testament section of the Panorama of the Bible, we continue the narrative that began with the creation of the world and culminates here in the renewal of all things in the new creation. It is essentially one single, gradually unfolding story of salvation: similar themes and plots weave through both the Old and New Testaments, and the storyline we see in Genesis unfolds in the life of Jesus and his church. It is amazing to observe the overall picture and learn to understand how the entirety of the Bible fits together. The wide range of books and literary genres in the New Testament continues to tell the single drama of salvation. If we learn to view the Bible from a panoramic perspective, we will realize that it is also our story. The better we understand the complete picture and the whole narrative, the better we can incorporate the Bible into our lives.
