Senátor – Láska Václav (2020)

A detective story about a young senator who becomes interested in the suicide of a high-ranking politician. A lot of things just don't add up. He has no idea what dangerous game he is getting into... Tomáš Krása is a former police officer who, in the first installment titled The Lawyer, got caught up with the mafia among lawyers and police officers. He survived that confrontation by luck. Now he is engaged in small law practice in Kladno. However, an offer comes along that he decides to accept after a moment of hesitation. He enters the world of politics. He becomes a senator. But very quickly, his police instincts come into play here as well. He is confronted with an old suicide of a former minister. But it might not have been a suicide at all. Tomáš begins to investigate what really happened years ago. However, high-ranking political circles have a tremendous interest in keeping this old case closed. Why, one wonders? Tomáš refuses well-meaning advice to not "dig into it" anymore. He fully commits to unraveling the ancient crime. And in doing so, he finds himself at war with opponents he has never faced before.
