The methodological guide is intended for all those who use the genetic method for teaching the Czech language in the 1st grade with the series of textbooks Písmenkov and Příběhov in connection with Relaxation Exercises for Písmenkov and Workbooks for Příběhov. All themes and ideas are based on practice. As a result, this guide can become a good companion for beginning teachers, and even more experienced ones will surely find inspiration in it. In accordance with RVP ZV, it contains not only a proposed timeline, connections to educational goals, interdisciplinary relationships, and key competencies but also solutions, tips, and suggestions for working with individual exercises, expanding, and deepening the themes of the chapters. It also includes ideas and activities on how to develop pre-reading skills, reading skills, and graphomotor skills in children at various stages. Additionally, the methodological guide offers the stories of Matěj and Anička, which can be read to children as motivation when deriving individual letters in Písmenkov.
