Let's transport ourselves to distant galaxies, where interstellar transport is provided by gigantic hyperspace beings called 'cows'. Accompanying them on their journey across the universe are space wranglers. However, galactic transport is under threat, along with the entire galactic community. Enter the monopolistic transporter and commander of private armies, Count Kuznetsov. Nothing is as it was; the balance of the world is disrupted. The wranglers must face fleets of space cruisers, armies of cyborgs, or crystalline lizard-killers. Planetary wars ensue, peaceful 'cows' are killed, and even stars are destroyed.
