Beschreibung
Recently, it seems that economic issues have been pushed to the very edge of political topics. The fundamental debate today revolves solely around how to fill the revenue side of the state budget, which taxes to increase, and how to survive the cuts to pensioners' incomes or the rising living costs for low-income groups in the coming year. The government is not at all troubled by the dismal state of the real economy, the actual stagnation of economic growth, the erosion of industry, the availability and prices of energy in the long term, the collapse of construction, ongoing inflation hotspots in services, the catastrophic situation in the housing market, the rigidity of the labor market, etc. In the approach to the economy, the accountant's perspective of the Minister of Finance has prevailed over meaningful economic policy. Serious economic problems are hardly being addressed by anyone. What do Václav Klaus, Jiří Weigl, Lenka Zlámalová, Martin Slaný, Lukáš Kovanda, and other authors think about this? Where do renowned economists see the biggest problems in the Czech economy? And what proposals do they come up with to help us extricate ourselves from these problems?
