The book aptly titled 'From Hanspaulka about Freedom' is a sort of report on our politics and society in recent years. A selection from the author's blogs, commentaries, analyses, and essays published over the past years in various media has one common denominator, which is the defense of freedom. The texts of Ladislav Jakl collected for this book are bounded by the time period from the end of Václav Klaus's presidency to the beginning of the functioning of the Václav Klaus Institute on one side and the beginning of June 2019 on the other. It is by no means a complete collection of the author's journalistic work during this period. However, the texts published in the anthology are connected by the fact that they were either originally written for the IVK or were otherwise taken over from original sources and published under its banner.
