Beschreibung
In this Czech-language book, a seventy-eight-year-old author presents his late, long-delayed debut as a mirror held up to the typically Czech contrarian who resentfully stands apart from progress. Nothing pleases him: he either curses crudely or remains completely silent. His only genuine interests are Platonic solids and his small, as yet illiterate grandchildren, to whom he wants to pass on his discoveries so that they too can marvel at the beauty of these forms. At the same time, and almost unintentionally, the book prepares attentive readers for a later and independent understanding of the quantum nature of space and time. It does not immediately offer a direct solution reconciling quantum theory with Einstein’s discoveries, but it provides the entire question with a new framework.
