A celebration of car racing and photography. The author, renowned Czech photographer and commentator of motorsport events Martin Straka, allows enthusiasts and motorsport fans to glimpse behind the scenes of automotive sports through his images. His photographs are not just about racing; Straka attempts to capture the overall atmosphere of the event along with individual stories. Each of the more than 400 photographs in this book has its own story, which the author reveals through short notes. Martin Straka (*1967) is a photojournalist, television commentator, and journalist. He lives in Vratimov near Ostrava. He has been commenting on car races on various television stations since 2005 (24h Le Mans & WEC, IndyCar, Blancpain GT Series, Int. GT Series...), and his voice has echoed around the Masaryk Circuit in Brno and at Slovakiaring since 2013. His photographs have received various awards, including the Golden Eye for the best motorsport photograph in the Czech Republic in 2007 and the Special Prize of Katowice in 2011 and 2015.
