Anča z pomeranče – Škorupová Katarína (2020)

Anča, along with her mother, her perpetually angry older sister Tera, and her younger two-year-old brother, is moving from the city to the village to live with their grandmother, whom everyone calls tami. She is said to be old, unable to manage everything on her own, and needs help with the farm and the animals (she has three horses) on her ranch called Orange. Then it turns out that tami, who can prepare various potions from herbs (she's a bit like a witch!), does not look so helpless at all. So it’s really strange why they moved in with her. Anča especially doesn’t understand why her dad isn’t with them, why her mom sent him on foot to Africa, as she once overheard through the door... And on top of all that, there are those strange neighbors! They have painted pigs on their house that are grilling people. Well, Anča's imagination is working overtime. Are the neighbors cannibals? The family, everyone from the neighborhood, and new friends sometimes get on her nerves. But gradually, Anča begins to understand many things, and everyone realizes that she is fun to be around.
