Budapest is primarily a spa city, so you can look forward to baths and various health and beauty treatments in a slightly decadent environment. It is also a city of culture. The banks of the Danube, the Old Town in Buda, Andrássy Avenue, and the adjacent historic part of the city are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Hungarian gastronomy is also rapidly developing.
