Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly known by the acronym ADHD, is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders diagnosed in childhood and adolescence. ADHD is a neurological developmental disorder, with the main symptoms being difficulties with concentration, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. In the book, we wanted to illustrate the most common manifestations of ADHD through Miki's story. For children with this disorder to function normally and enjoy life, it is essential that we approach them as educational counselor Tomáš does: with respect and without judgment. We also provide several recommendations that could help children with ADHD feel more understood. ADHD is one of the least understood disorders. The main aim of the book is to support a sensitive approach to children. Therefore, it is important that you read and explore it together with the child. In addition to listening to the story, the child can also answer the questions posed, think about them, share their thoughts and experiences with an adult, and complete various tasks according to the given instructions. The Neuropříběhy series, in which this book is published, is intended for children aged 4 to 8 years and their parents. Its aim is to offer help in identifying and managing various neurological disorders in children's development.
