The practicum is an invaluable study aid for preparation and work in seminars on Roman law.
It contains fourteen chapters that focus on individual institutes of Roman law – civil procedure, persons, family, property rights, obligations, inheritance, criminal law, and more.
The final chapter deals with the reception of Roman law. It presents a representative sample of sources that depicts a representative image of the Romanization influences to which our law has been subjected in the past.
Each chapter is divided into a theoretical part, which contains the basic concepts and principles of the given legal area, and a practical part, where the reader will find a large number of texts in the original Latin and their Czech translation, supplemented with inspiring questions and tasks to solve.
The selection of texts was made with regard to the knowledge and abilities of first-year law students.
The publication is primarily intended for students of law faculties.
