The textbook contains a comprehensive and clear explanation of the basic institutes and principles of judiciary and civil procedure in litigation. It addresses the subjects of civil procedure, contentious and non-contentious proceedings, as well as other types of proceedings (excluding enforcement and insolvency proceedings, which are covered in the second part of the textbook), including appellate proceedings. The authors emphasize the increasingly significant phenomenon of alternative dispute resolution.
Among the fundamental changes that the textbook responds to is the new regulation of the position and activities of experts. Regarding doctrinal issues, the authors of the textbook address, among other things, the problem of the standard of proof.
The presented text is thus in accordance with the current state of valid law and case law, including European Union law and the case law of the Court of Justice of the EU and the European Court of Human Rights.
