Beschreibung
The coronavirus pandemic has shaken our lives to an unprecedented extent. Among other things, it has prompted self-reflection across various scientific disciplines. This book represents a partial self-reflection of legal science, specifically Czech positive law doctrine. While it primarily focuses on both general and quite specific issues of our constitutional law (and partly politics), it also adds an important framework of international and European law. It also takes note of the highly practical implications of our struggle with COVID-19 in private law, as well as approaches to managing the pandemic in several foreign jurisdictions. It culminates in fairly concrete recommendations for changes in the legal order so that we are better prepared for any similar situations in the future.
