The third edition of the university textbook contains an updated explanation of enforcement, execution, and insolvency management according to the legal status valid as of January 1, 2022. The enforcement of civil rights is first discussed in general, followed by an explanation of court enforcement of decisions according to the Civil Procedure Code, including proceedings with an international element, enforcement proceedings conducted according to the Enforcement Code, and individual methods of enforcing decisions (and execution). The next section, dedicated to insolvency proceedings according to the Insolvency Code, also includes an explanation of international and European insolvency law. The updated edition contains an explanation of new elements and institutes aimed at greater protection of debtors, such as the cessation of futile executions, the establishment of a protected debtor account within the assignment of receivables, restrictions on enforcement through the sale of movable property (their concurrency or execution against particularly vulnerable individuals), clarification of the regulation of debt relief, or basic information on preventive restructuring, the legal regulation of which, based on the European Union directive, is currently in the legislative process of the Czech Republic.
