The publication provides insight into Swiss snow law, which deals with safety in winter sports, with a special emphasis on skiing. The monograph thus brings closer the Swiss issues of safety in snow sports activities, describes the current legal framework, the decision-making practice of the Swiss judicial system, the opinions of the professional public, including possible solutions. The first part provides a historical excursion and a description of the current legal framework. The second part clearly presents and comments on the SKUS Guidelines (Swiss Commission for Accident Prevention on Ski Slopes for Snow Sports), which can be considered the core of legal regulation. The third part is dedicated to the selection and brief analysis of Swiss case law, providing an overview of relevant court decisions. The appendices include a Czech translation of the SKUS Guidelines. The book is intended for representatives of the judiciary, as well as for snow sports enthusiasts, professional and sports institutions, outdoor workers, and especially operators of ski resorts and ski transport facilities.
