The textbook presents the key institutes of contract law after the recodification in a clear and comprehensible manner, including selected procedural aspects, in mutual contexts. In the second edition, it has been updated in relation to the development of legal theory and case law. The first part provides a summary and explanation of the most important concepts and general provisions related to obligations. The textbook discusses contracts and the obligations arising from them. It also includes an outline of obligations from torts and a detailed explanation of changes, security, and termination of obligations. There are also chapters on securing and confirming debts. The final part is dedicated to the protection of the weaker party in contract law, including consumer protection. The publication emphasizes practical aspects of the issues, incorporates relevant judicial case law, and suitably complements the explanations with illustrative examples, diagrams, and expanding excursions. The textbook is primarily intended for law students and related fields, but it will also serve graduates of law faculties well as they prepare for professional exams, as well as practicing lawyers.
