Pocta Jiřímu Jelínkovi – Tlapák Navrátilová Jana (2020)

A tribute to Prof. JUDr. Jiří Jelínek, CSc. is published on the occasion of the 65th birthday of the professor at the Faculty of Law of Charles University, a leading Czech lawyer and one of the most significant experts in criminal law and criminology in the Czech Republic, who is also respected abroad. The book contains contributions from 46 authors, prominent figures in Czech and foreign legal theory and practice, covering not only criminal law but also other fields. The contributions are thematically focused primarily on the main areas of Professor Jelínek's long-term professional interest, such as the criminal liability of legal entities, European Union criminal law, the legal regulation of terrorism, the admissibility of certain evidence in criminal proceedings, and the position of the victim in criminal proceedings. Many authors follow Professor Jelínek's example and respond to current societal issues in the context of criminal law in their contributions. An interview by Simona Heranová with Jiří Jelínek at the end of the publication presents the jubilarian as an inspiring teacher and a quick-witted and original speaker.
