The textbook of legal English is intended primarily for students of law, applied linguistics, interpreters, and translators. Its goal is to provide students with the foundational knowledge of legal English necessary for their future professional development, while also aiming to enhance their general language skills. The individual lessons include texts on legal topics, key vocabulary, cases from legal practice, thought-provoking questions, and various types of exercises. Some tasks motivate students to compare the Czech legal system with the Anglo-American common law system. The textbook was revised for the third edition.
