Beschreibung
The relationship between international and domestic law is regulated at the highest, constitutional level in most legal systems. However, no constitution fully addresses all the complexities that the interaction between the international and national spheres brings. This publication attempts to comprehensively analyze this relationship from the perspective of the Slovak constitutional order. It draws inspiration from the fields of legal theory, international law, and comparative constitutional practice. The monograph focuses on vertical legal relationships, emphasizing the domestic position of the individual as the central beneficiary of international influences. This is closely related to the aspiration to process this challenging intersystemic topic in a way that has the potential to influence not only scientific discussions but also practical application in Slovakia. Therefore, the book is intended for both the academic community and judges, lawyers, legal practitioners, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the impacts of international law in the Slovak legal order.
