The monograph provides a brief overview of the legal history of the Jewish religious community from its beginnings to the completion of the Talmud and Christianity from its origins to the present day. It captures the history of the relationship between the state and churches throughout this period. The authors, both experienced university teachers, present a clear explanation supplemented by interesting details. They discuss biblical events in an original way and characterize the biblical books. The text is divided into short sections, which enhances the dynamism and readability of the text.
