The collective monograph "Ten Years Since the Adoption of the Czech Criminal Code" reminds us that 2019 marks the tenth anniversary of the adoption of Act No. 40/2009 Coll., the Criminal Code, which replaced the old, originally Czechoslovak Criminal Code (Act No. 140/1961 Coll.) after forty-eight years. The tenth anniversary of the new Czech Criminal Code has become an opportunity for several Czech and Slovak academics and practitioners in the fields of criminal law, constitutional law, administrative law, and civil law to prepare chapters (studies) reflecting on this anniversary from the perspective of their disciplines, not only from the standpoint of criminal law, criminal procedure, or criminology.
