The book represents the first Czech monograph dealing with the law of natural healing at the intersection of law, social medicine, health philosophy, and religion. The publication is based on the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of choice in health care and various ways of protecting health, including natural or traditional methods. Constitutional issues are addressed at the level of civil law, health law, trade law, and other fields, including historical reflections and foreign and international contexts. Part of the work focuses on traditional knowledge as an object of intellectual property law. Attention is also paid to a detailed analysis of the legal status of natural healers and their methods of influencing health. A significant part is focused on the possibility of fulfilling the obligation of health care according to the Civil Code. The author also notes current court disputes regarding non-medical homeopathy and critically examines unfair practices in health care. The work also discusses legislative prospects in this professional area in our country; it is loosely related to the preparation of a government bill on healing services.
